Orilla Verde Recreation Area

Driving south on 68 through Espanola, turn left onto 76 and drive 1.6 miles to the Santa Cruz Country Store. Proceed another 0.7 miles down 76 to the wash across from the Camino de Paz school.

Collected west of the Rio Grande Gorge at T27N R11E sec 17.

Santa Fe River. Site is just upstream from the Rael Ranch.

Nimenim Ridge

Rio San Antonio. From NM-285, take FR118 WSW for 5.6 km, then turn north onto two-track. Follow two-track for 4.6 km, keeping left at forks. Park beside road. From the large ponderosa pine snag at the rim, follow path down to river.

Collected one mile south of San Antonio Mountain, T30N R9E sec 29.

From the intersection of Highway 285 and Highway 64 in the town of Tres Piedras, drive west on Highway 64 for ca. 13.8 miles. Turn west onto unsigned dirt road. Collection site is in first meadow.

Next to spring at Big Arsenic campground along the Rio Grande at Wild Rivers Scenic Area

Follow state road 68 south towards Santa Fe. After 23 miles, take a left onto 75E. After 3 miles, take a slight right onto 580. Continue on CO rd 69 for about 2.5 miles. Park at lot on left and cross river bed. Follow trail 50 meters to the left.

Cottonwood Draw

GPS Coordinates approximate. Hiked down into ravine of San Antonio River.

Alien Head Spring. Accessed via Rio Chama by boat, the site is about seven miles downstream of Cooper's Landing boat launch. The canyon is just downstream from Deadman's Canyon on river right. Walk a quarter mile up the canyon to reach the source.

Burton Flat

Santa Cruz River. Mouth of ephemeral tributary stream, 0.5 mi downstream from NM-503 access point.

Agua Caliente Canyon. Access the canyon via the old gravel pit in Pilar. Site is 0.20 mi. up from the BLM/private border.

Collected on the south end of San Antonio Mt., at T30N R9E sec 29.

Begin in Los Alamos, NM. Head west on Trinity Dr. (502), turning left onto Diamond Dr. toward W Jemez Rd. (501). Proceed on W Jemez Rd. for 4.6 miles. Make a sharp left turn onto NM-4 W and continue for 35.7 miles, making one left turn to stay on NM-4. Af

Yeso Hills North

Greasewood Spring. From Pilar, drive 4.9 mi north on NM-570. Spring is directly across river on west bank.

From Clayton, New Mexico head Northeast on US-412 East/US-56 East/US-64 East/Main Street for about 3 miles. Turn left onto NM-046 North and drive for about 30 miles, where you will see gates on both sides on the road. The gate on the right has a sign “New

Travel South on 518 from Taos for approximately 27 miles. Take a left onto Forest Rd 772, and drive for about 6 miles. There will be a two track and open meadow on the right. Park here and collect in the meadow.

From the town of Truchas, head north from the 3-way intersection at the center of town, onto Road 76. Drive for about 2.2 miles, and then turn left onto Forest Road 697. The population will be throughout the woods.

Carson National Forest; Latir Peak Wilderness Area; Lake Fork Trail. From the intersection of Highway 522 and Cisneros Road near the town of Questa, drive 0.2 miles east to access Highway 563. Drive north on Highway 563 which will turn into Forest Service

Threemile Draw-Black River

From El Rito, drive east on Highway 554 for ca. 7.5 miles. At County Road 477 take a right and head south for ca. 1 mile. Collection site along road.

From Highway 68, turn left onto Highway 75 towards Dixon, NM. From Highway 75, turn right onto County Road 580. From County Road 580, turn right onto Country Road 69. Take County Road 69 about 4 miles to sandy wash on right side of road, going uphill.

Yerba Spring. Site is 541.0 m downstream from the BLM Quartzite Put-in on river right. First spring on west bank below Quartzite.

From the instersection of Highway 285 and Highway 64 in the town of Tres Piedras, drive south on Highway 285 for ca. 6 miles and then go east on Forest Service Road TP 233 for ca. 2 miles.
