Crab Spider Spring. From NM State Rd 522 near the village of Arroyo Hondo, take County Road B007 approx 3.5 miles to John Dunn bridge at the Rio Grande. Hike approx 355 meters downstream from bridge on river left to where the spring emerges.

From the town of Antonito, drive north on Highway 285 for ca. 7 miles. Turn west onto County Road P. Cross the cattleguard, and drive ca. 4 miles.

South from Taos on HWY 68, Left on road 75 through Dixon, Right onto 580 through Canoncito, then Right onto County dirt road 69 for 1.7 mi. Spring traverses road.

Agua Caliente Canyon. Access the canyon via the old gravel pit in Pilar. Site is 0.45 mi. up from the BLM/private border.

From Pilar, follow NM State Road 570 5.2 miles along Rio Grande. Spring is on west bank, slightly downstream from small parking area.

From Questa, NM, head north on 522. From 522, turn left (west) onto NM-378. Once you have entered into the Wild Rivers Recreation Area, Asclepias subverticillata can be found all along the roadside.

Turn south at Road 477 located 2.9 mi E of the intersection of Highways 554 and Highway 111 in El Rito. Collection site is along the road ca. 2.7 miles southwest of the 477/554 intersection.

From Questa, NM head north on Highway 522. Turn West onto Highway 378. Wild Rivers Recreation Area.

Park at NM-75 pull-out at mile marker 10. Follow trail south from the road for 0.5 miles, into a drainage. Follow the drainage S-SW, keeping right, for another 0.5 mi to the GPS location, just above Embudo Creek.; 36.1928472 -105.7570361

Drive through Dixon on NM-75 and take a right onto Rio Arriba-580. Continue for approximately 1.5 miles. Park on the right side of the road and walk up the wash towards tall cottonwoods.
