Hackberry Lake Dunes Complex

Chiflo Grande Spring. Spring is located at the base of the Chiflo Trail in the Wild Rivers Recreation Area, 6.3 mi down NM-378 from NM-522.

Follow US-64 northwest from Taos and turn right onto US-285 and drive north. After roughly 42 miles from the field office, turn left onto FS87 and follow for 26.1 miles, eventually turning right towards the lower Lagunitas Campground.

Little Arsenic Spring. From the Little Arsenic trailhead in the Wild Rivers BLM Recreation Area, hike down the trail to the Rio Grande, and then turn right at the trail junction and continue for 0.3 mi to where the trail crosses the spring.

From State Road 68, take 75 towards Penasco and turn right onto 580, which turns into 69 (a dirt road) towards Ojo Sarco. Verbesina will be on the left side immediately after it becomes a dirt road.

Park at NM-75 pull-out at mile marker 10. Follow trail south from the road for 0.5 miles, into a drainage. Specimen was collected in this drainage.

Rio Chama Warm Springs. Accessed via Rio Chama by boat, the site is about seven miles downstream of Cooper's Landing boat launch. The canyon is just downstream from Deadman's Canyon on river right. Walk a quarter mile up the canyon to reach the source.
