Great Cacapon; From Great Cacapon, travel S on Rock Ford Rd. for 3.1 miles to Low Water Bridge. Park and travel downstream on river right.

Sleepy Creek; , From Berkeley Springs, travel E on Martinsburg RD/WV-9. Travel E on county roads 9/7, 8, and 9/3 until bridge over Sleepy Creek. Park at bridge and walk upstream.

Camp Creek; Brush Creek Preserve, Park at Brush Creek Preserve parking area along Brush Creek Falls Road, Hike down trail until it joins the Bluestone River and continue until just before White Oak Creek Falls

Peters Mountain; , Proceed south on Potomac Highlands Trial/WV-28. Park along road where Forest Service property extends to road. Hike along ridges generally to the west.

Pond Run; George Washington National Forest, From the Halfmoon Trail parking area, hike trail towards occurrence. At the same site as northeastern bulrush occurrence.

Little Cow Knob; George Washington & Jefferson NF/Shenandoah WMA, From Fort Seybert, head east on Sweedlin Valley Rd. Turn onto Rough Run Rd. and head east. Find a gated FS road-Mitchell Knob Rd and travel uphill.

Sugar Grove; Shenandoah WMA, Immediately to the north of Sugar Grave Navy Base, travel north on Little Fork Road alongside Little Fork Creek. There is a small shale barren on E side of road.

Swamp Run; Shenandoah WMA, From N end entrance to West Side Rd (RT 151), go S on West Side Rd for approx. 5mi. Park in a small field on E side of road.

Brandywine; Shenandoah WMA, Brandywine Shale Barren- From town of Brandywine, drive east on US33 approximately 1 mile. Barren is uphill on south-facing slope.
