Flowers lemon-yellow, fading to buff or rose, 1/2" to 3/4" long, on erect reddish stems 1 to 6" long; leaves fleshy basal rosettes with reddish tips. This specimen growing in crack in Pothole Mountain (a dome all rock) at alt. of 10,000'.

This specimen found on top of Dingley Dome at an altitude of narly 10,000 feet. The area is exposed to bitter cold winds so the season for this particular plant was to short to permit it to send up flowers and stems, remaining in its basal leaf stage. Nor
