Located in Lost Lake Park near a patch of abandoned roadway at the north end of the lake, close to shore. Associated species are Matricaria matricariodes, Senecio vulgaris, Poan annua and Capsella burrsa-pastoris.

On a steep, shaded bank with northern exposure along highway 30, 0.25 mile southwest of Crown Point.

Collected near Highway 69 towards Badger, eleven miles from the junction with Highway 63. Elevation: 3000 feet. In foothill woodland. Soil: decomposed granite. The flowers were red. Not very common. Associated species: Barbarea orthoceras, Pedicularia den
