Located in Lost Lake Park in the north end of the picnic area along the river about 200 ft. from the river. Plant community is valley grass land at 325 ft. in sand with sawdust added.

On serpentine, in openings among chaparral along trail on ridge-top (southern spur of Snow Mountain) forming county-line, +- 4 mi. n. of Fir Root Spring Camp; elev. +- 4500 ft. [with G.T.Robbins, L.T.Dempster, P.A.Munz & L. R. Heckard]
