This 6 inch herb was growing commonly in dry sandy to rocky soil in a desert valley near Old Dad Mountains about 52 miles west of Needles on Interstate 40 (I-40) Elevation about 1800 ft.

Growing alongside road; very inconspicuous. Auberry Road, 3 miles east of Fresno Rifle and Pistol Club, almost at junction of Millerton Road. Foothill Woodland. Elevation ca. 6-700 feet.

COLLECTED IN THE UPPER MAMMOTH POOL AREA, JACKASS MEADOW. FOUND IN THE LODGE POLE PINE PLANT COMMUNITY, ELEVATION 6500 FEET, IN LOAMY SOIL.

Located near the Summit of San Jacinto Peak. Plant Community is of Alpine Fell Field at an elevation of 10,700 feet in rocky granite soil the herb is common. Associated species is Eriogonum sp.
