Piedra at about 500 feet. Foothill woodland. Found climbing over rocks and Daytura. Found also in association with Caulanthus and Dudleya.

Found in open shade in deyish soil on hillslopes along highway 89 near Lassen Park, 7 miles south of Canyon dam.

S.P.R.R. right of way along Hiway 99 just n. of Ashlan Ave. xing and n. end freight yards.
