Reservoir in winding canyon; 22 m. ne. from Friant to 1 m. e. of Temperance Flate. Bordered on Fresno Co. side by basalt table Mts. to 1800'; Madera Co. side by mts. to 2200'.; Above or in n. facing sandy terraces from Big Bend.

W. Fk. Line Crk., somewhat below jct. w. branch that drains Mary's Mead. & ca. 3 map m. sw. of 10,320' Kaiser Pk. (Kaiser Pk. quad.). Slope rises in less than 1/2 m. to 8425' to ne.; s. 1/2 of large open rocky sunny area above crk.

Collected near entrance to Mineral King Valley 25 miles from Highway 198 and Three Rivers. In a Cedar, White Pine and Sugar Pine forest.

On w. end of Kaiser Ridge, 1 m. s. of 8111' Black Pt. & 1½ m. w. of Huntington Lake. (Shave Lake Quad.). The road rises westward from jct. with Big Crk. grade & then turns e. just before Ordinance Crk. At point where road turns up and east.

Upper portion of the steep north/ north west facing slope above highway 168 on the Big Creek grade below creek crossing.

Growing along the dry hillslopes about two miles south of Sivel Mt. just north of Bass Lake.

Edge of meadow just w-sw of Mt. Givens - i.e. just s. of low spot on the Ridge immediately w. of Mt. Givens.
