From Flagstaff, AZ, go south on I-17 to Highway 179. Take Highway 179 west to Beaverhead Flat Road and turn left (west). Go about 0.5 miles to FR78 and turn left.

From Green River, UT go east on I-70 to Exit 187. Turn south on Salt Valley Gorge Road to where it ends at Little Valley Road (Road 146). Population occurs throughout this valley as it runs east (Road 146).

Coconino National Forest. Route 66 W from Flagstaff, turn left onto Woody Mountain Road; population is next to the Arboretum at Flagstaff, around Sinclair Wash; meadow bordered by ponderosa pine forest.

Coconino National Forest. Take Highway 180 N out of Flagstaff, turn right onto Forest Road 523, go half mile E of the junction between Highway 180 and Forest 523; population is located on both sides of the road extending up the hillside.

Coconino National Forest. From the East Flagstaff Interchange, go S on Forest Road 303, turn right onto Forest 301 and go about 2 mi S of the gate at the junction with Forest Road 9712C, near Fisher Point;

Coconino National Forest. Go S on Highway 17 from Flagstaff, exit and go E onto Forest Road 237, continue 1.5 mi; population is on both sides of road.

Highway 89 N from Flagstaff, turn right onto the S end of Sunset Loop Road (Forest Road 545), population is to the left after the eastern border of Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

Highway 89 N, turn onto N entrance of Forest Road 545 (Sunset Crater Loop Road), turn right onto Forest Road 150, right onto Forest Road 787 and follow road into wash. Population is on the S side of the wash.

Colorado Plateau - Semiarid Benchlands and Canyonlands. Seven Mile Canyon. From Moab, take US-191 for 11 miles. Turn left (W) on UT-313. Travel 5.8 miles to collection site on S side of road.
