On the old Ambato - Guaranda road, about 3 km east of Llangahua. Steep, south facing, rocky outcrops with scattered Oreopanax and Buddleja incana.

Parque Nacional Podocarpus. E of Nudo de Cajanuma, just N of "Centro de Información". Wet montane forest. Sample plot site.

2 km downstream from Punto Aguarico. Partly disturbed upland primary forest.

Road San Antonio - Calacalí - Nanegal, 20 km W of Calacalí. Pastures and shrub forests on rocky slopes. Cloud forest area.

2 km E of Yasuni Scientific Station between road and Río Tiputini. Tropical rainforest on terra firme. Hills with red oxisols.
