Fiscalini Ranch Reserve, near Cambria. Native Pinus muricata forest with subcanopy of Quercus agrifolia and Frangula californica. Open understory of native grasses and Toxicodendron.

Cypress Mtn. Rd. Serpentine influenced woodland dominated by Quercus agrifolia. Stunted Q. douglasii common along with Q. berberidifolia, Ceanothus cuneatus, C. leucodermis, Heteromeles, and occasional Pinus sabiniana.

Kings Ridge Road, ca. 50m south of intersection with Sewell Road. Massive north facing rock wall along roadside. Very wet, covered in mosses with Mimulus, Delphinium and small saxifrage species. Amphidium and Anaocolia dominant.

Austin Creek State Recreation Area, along Armstrong Redwoods Road near Gilliam Creek Trailhead. Mixed evergreen forest of Quercus agrifolia, Umbellularia, Aesculus, Pseudotsuga and Acer. Open, with understory of Toxicodendron, Arctostaphylos and grasses.

UC Davis Quail Ridge Reserve, ca. 2 miles west of Monticello Dam on Lake Berryessa.
