Dense Quercus agrifolia woodland along Perfumo Canyon Rd. Sandstone substrate, diverse understory including Satureja douglasii, grasses, Rubus and Toxicodendron. On sandy soil in shade.

North facing serpentine outcrop along Prefumo Canyon Rd. Seep supporting population of Cirsium fontinale ssp obispoensis and Aquilegia sp. Surrounding slope with Quercus durata and Ceanothus cuneatus chaparral.

Caliente Range, near Semper spring. Drainage with open Juniperus californicus woodland, understory of Poa secunda.

University of California's Rancho Marino Reserve south of Cambria. On soil bank of drainage through mixed annual grassland and coastal prarie, just behind coastal bluffs.

Caliente Range, near Semper spring. Semidesert scrub dominated by Ephedra californica and Chrysothamnus nauseosus with Gutierrezia californica and Juniperus californicus com. Atriplex polycarpa and Eastwoodia elegans also com.

Cuesta Ridge east of Hwy 101. In knobcone forest, 2nd major pullout after entering pine forest. Pinus attenuata and Ceanothus leucodermis forest mixing with Chamise and Pickeringia chaparral.

Upper Pennington Creek. Ecotone of Quercus agrifolia and Umbellularia californica woodland with coastal scrub dominated by Salvia mellifera and Mimulus aurantiacus.

Pleasonton Ridge Regional Park. Open oak woodland of Quercus lobata and Q. agrifolia. Understory mostly annual grasses, with patches of Mimulus, Baccharis and Toxicodendron.

Michaux State Forest, along Quarry Gap Road off Highway 233 north of Highway 30. Tsuga canadensis forest with open understory of scattered shrubs and Skunk Cabbage.

Along road from La Porte Rd. to Sly Creek dam. Mesic Pseudotsuga menziesii forest with Calocedrus decurrens, Lithocarpus densiflorus and Cornus nuttallii.

Oso Flaco Lake, north of Guadalupe dune complex. Growing in full sun on disturbed soil between agricultural land (row crops) and riparian zone on Southern end of the lake.
