From Asheboro follow SR 1416 west to SR1004; proceed north tp Little Caraway Creek. Collected from large tree, about 11 m, in forested area bordered on east by SR 1004 and Little Caraway Creek to the north.

Above roadside drainage ditch along SR 1004, about 0.9 mile south of Little Caraway Creek.

From Asheboro, follow SR 1416 four mile to SR 1004; growing on wooded, northeast-facing slope in Caraway Bluffs vicinity, 0.5 mile west of SR 1004 in area bordered on north by Little Caraway Cr.

From SR 1004 (northwest of Asheboro), left on SR 1539 1 mile to SR 1412, left 2.5 miles to first curve, in vicinity of said curve and Little Caraway Creek to the south.

Growing near top of fairly steep bank at base of utility pole support cable; at "T" intersection of SR 1539 and SR 1412.

Follow SR 1004 north to SR 1539; west 1 mile to SR 1412; then 0.25 mile to first curve to right and first driveway on left. Growing near crest of hill; where driveway makes hairpin turn.

Growing in open area of powerline cut through woods; 0.3 mile west of SR 1004, along north side of SR 1539 just before first curve to north.
