Growing on soil of steep, east-facing slope with C. connivens (Dicks.) Lindb. var. connivens. Along Toxaway Creek. Under thick growth of Rhododendron maximum. Located 1 1/2 miles north of junction of County Roads 88 and 89, about 7 miles west of Westminis

On bank of Cedar Creek, which flows into the Savannah River; Site #49, on north side of Cedar Creek; about 2 miles south of Hwy 181 bridge over Savannah River, and about 1/4 miles west of Savannah River.

East side of “Guise Bay” on southwest side of U.S. 521, 1.5 miles northwest of Foreston.

On rotting log; on steep, mesic, east-facing slope along small, intermittent stream flowing south into Bond Creek, Site #27, about 1/2 mile east of the Savannah River; just south of Greg Shoals on the Savannah River. Below the 475-ft. contour.

On large rock outcrop along south side of Cedar Creek. Site #50, about 2/3 mile west of the Savannah River; about 1 1/2 miles south of Ga. Highway 181. Below the 475-ft. contour.

On large, north-facing rock above dry creek bed. Just southeast of Station Creek Falls (in Sumter National Forest); approximately 1/2 mile west of S.C. Secondary 95. About 6 miles due north of Walhalla, S.C.

Five miles south of Salemburg, Highway 242.

On soil of east-facing, low bank of small, intermittent stream. Site #58, about 2 1/4 miles east of the Savannah River, and about 1 1/4 miles northwest of town of Calhoun Falls, S.C. Below the 475-ft contour.

Plants dark green; thalli crisp; very abundant in cool, clear water of shallow spring seep, with much Carex, Hydrocotyle, Cardamine and Orontium; floodplain of Lyons Creek, about one mile north of S. C. 6 and just east of town of St. Matthews.

Under drip from creek flowing over large rock overhand. Located just east of Toxaway Creek and about one mile south of County Road 88. On west-northwest-facing hillside.

MACON County: At Chattooga River E of Ammons Campground, Bull Pen Road, Ca. 5.5 mi of SE of Highlands. Occasional on wet rotting wood in shade near river.

On soil trapped on rock; on steep, mesic, north-facing slope along Cedar Creek. Site #50, on south side of creek; about 2/3 mile west of the Savannah River; about 1-2/3 miles south of Ga. Highway 181. Below the 475-ft contour.

Base of Station Creek Falls. Approximately 2.3 miles west of S.C. 11, on County Road 95. About 6 miles due northwest of West Union, S.C.

On the Baruch Plantation (east of town of Georgetown; on south side of U.S. 17 and on east side of Waccamaw/Winyah Bay). On south-east side of unnamed road which is 0.1 mile west of King’s Road; 0.3 mile south of Crabhaul Road.
