ON trunk of Juniperus virginiana (1-inch dbh) in pine-cedar-oak forest. Site #28 (Lat. 34 14'58"; Long. 82 44'05"), about 3/4 mile east of the Savannah River; west of S.C. 187.

Intertwined with Scapania nemorosa (L.) Dum.. Occurring as a thick mat on wet, exposed rock on north-facing bluff overlooking Chauga River. In Chau Ram County Park, located approximately 2 miles NW of Westminister, S.C., off U.S. 76.
