About one mile south of County Road 193 Blackwell Bridge over the Chauga River, about 3.8 miles west of junction of Co. Rd 193 with SC 28.

On trunk of Juniperus virginiana (1-ft. diameter); in patches to 12 feet on south side of trunk. In the Clemson University Forest, Mill District Preserve Area, located approximately 1 mile northwest of S.C. 187 and 1 mile west of U.S. 76/S.C. 28.

On bank of intermittent stream flowing north into Allen Creek; on south side of Allen Creek. Site #151; about 1.5 miles east of the Savannah River; (full pool for proposed Russell Lake; impoundment scheduled for mid-1980’s by U.S. Army Corps of Engineers)

About equidistant from Sec. Hwys. 278 and 44, and 0.5 mile southwest of S.C. 341; 3 miles northwest of town of Lynchburg.
