Near railroad N of State Highway 187, just E of Suwannochee Creek, Clinch Co., Ga. Edge of pines flatwoods (sandy soils on road; associated with Bulbostylis barbata and Cyperus compressus.

Not uncommon on shore areas and up to ca. 2' water. Blooming. Not forming the dense cover on the lake as at Lake Seminole.

Multi-stemmed shrub ca 4-5 m. tall. Abundant in pond-swamp, 7 mi S of Donaldsonville, by Ga Rt 285 just E of its jct with Ga Rt 91. Rt 285 road to Spring Creek State Park.
