Specimens from sapling ca 4 m tall. Numerous tall trees at site, crowns relatively small and narrow, trunk bark gray. Swampy woodland, at Mill Creek, just off Fla. Rt. 20, a bit E of Bristol.

Locally abundant in tall grassy places of highway right of way, flatwoods adjacent, 2 miles NE of Cross City.

Large tree. Open pine woodland, near the grounds around the laboratory, TTRS.
