Seedlings collected in area between plots one and two. All are large seedling and all are 4 yrs. old. Area on Springhill burned March 1968. Size of 4 yr seedlings varies considerably from area to area.

"John The Baptist" Hammock, Hammock #7, Northwest side of Flint River, Ichauway Plantation, Baker Co., Ga. Rich loamy soil at base of a southeast facing slope on floodplain of the Flint River.

Vegetative fronds mostly several together and submersed; fertile fronds single and floating; collection made for fertile fronds, shape of which different from vegetative fronds.

In lawn sods, a few clumps widely scattered, chiefly to S of Stoddard Laboratory-presumably naturalized from earlier plantings by the Beadel House.
