Bushy branched shrub, several stems from the base, on the very edge of the bank of the Ohlockonee River, at public use area just to N of the river by Old Bainbridge Road, growing next to Planera aquatica.

Locally abundant in borrow pit in pine flatwoods, where water stands occasionally, between Wacissa and Goose Pasture.

Leon County:cutover power line right-of-way off of Tekesta Drive, Bradfordville. Leaves glaucous, flowers pale green with red sripes.

In loose alga-like masses, intermixed with algae, mostly well below the water's surface. Clear Lake, Apalachicola National Forest, between forest roads 305 and 307 (in the fork between).

Medium sized tree. Bark of trunk ridged and grooved, dark gray, laminated, but the layers hard and tight, sloughing almost imperceptible. Mixed with hardwood trees on gentle slope of ravine, in Indianhead Acres subdivision, Tallahassee.

Locally frequent in wet open ditch by roadside next to wet longleaf pineflatwoods, Apalachicola National Forest, by forest road 105 to E of Fla. rd 65, generally S of Bristol.
