A lone plant on loose sand of steep slope of borrow-pit, Camp Pond Road 0.2 mile S of Fla. Rt. 20, W of Tallahassee. Flower with two sky blue upper petals and one much smaller lower white one.

Frequent, wet sands, extensive exposed sands bars, Apalachicola River, Torreye State Park.

Tree with very short trunk ca 1 m in diameter, relatively few very large widely spreading limbs. Deep sandy soil, probably where once was a cultivated field, generally in the Alum Bluff Area, upriver from Bristol.

Rays deep maroon. Savanna, 2 miles NW of Sumatra.

Locally abundant, in moist soils at lower edge of ravine slope and near a small spring run, rich hardwood stand, vicinity of Headquarters Building of Lake Seminole, and just N of Chattahoochee, Fla.

Calcareous rocky woodland, 4.7 miles N of Marianna by Bumpnose Road (Penn Road where it commences at U.S. Rt. 90 in Marianna). Many plants observed scattered in the woodland; all had white perianths.
